멜버른이 7년만에 세계에서 가장 살기좋은 도시 타이틀을 상실했다. '이코노미스트 인텔리전스 유닛'의 2018년 랭킹에서 멜버른은 0.7%차로 1등 자리를 놓쳤다. 140개 도시를 상대로 안전, 의료, 문화와 환경, 교육, 인프라 등을 평가한 조사에서 전체 99.1% 점수를 획득한 오스트리아 빈이 멜버른을 밀어냈다.

Melbourne has finally lost the title of worlds most liveable city after a seven-year reign. The Australian city came in second place on the Economist Intelligence Unit's 2018 ranking of the world's most liveable cities, missing out on the top spot by just 0.7%. It was pipped to the post by Vienna, which received an overall score of 99.1% on the annual list, which assesses stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure in 140 different cities.
